Telefonica CEO denies speculation it is selling off German business

Monday 11 June 2018 | 15:42 CET | News
Telefonica CEO Jose Maria Alvarez-Pallete has rebuffed speculation that Telefonica was considering selling off its German business, calling the country "strategically important" for Telefonica, reported German business daily Handelsblatt. If Telefonica did intent to sell off its German subsidiary, the company would not have purchased E-Plus for EUR 8.5 billion from KPN in 2014, Alvarez-Pallete told Handelsblatt.
