Telefonica converts Spanish facilities into power generators

Telefonica has converted three of its largest facilities into power generators after signing an on-site power purchase agreement (PPA) with photovoltaic developer ADC Ingenieria. The operator has installed 750 solar panels on the roof of its Logistics Centre in Villaverde (Madrid), creating a 270 kWp self-consumption system that produces around 470,000 kWh of electricity a year, equivalent to round 25 percent of the building's energy requirement. It previously set up self-consumption facilities in Alcobendas (127kWp) and Villanueva de la Canada (12kWp), also in Madrid, with similar
