Telefonica eliminates all permanence clauses from all Movistar plans

Telefonica has announced the complete removal of all permanence clauses tying existing and new residential customers to all the plans if offers in Spain. The company hasn't imposed a permanence clause on its mobile plans since 2013, subsequently removing the 3-month commitment for fibre clients and now eliminating the remaining commitments for non-convergent customers subscribed to plans such as its fixed voice (6 months) and ADSL broadband (12 months) tariffs, among others. As a result, Telefonica said it's the first major operator in Spain to completely remove any permanence commitments
