Telefonica employees allowed to 'digitally disconnect'

Telefonica Group workers the world over will be permitted to switch off digitally after work and not be required to check out-of-hours emails after the company's management signed a document of intent recognising the right of its employees to digitally disconnect. With the backing of Spain's main trade unions – UGT and CCOO – the company said it would take specific measures to respect the leisure time of its employees once the work day has ended. Telefonica added that it would be promoting awareness and training actions aimed at all of its employees to inform them about the risks, challenges
