Telefonica, Ericsson launch Enterprise Private Network offering

Telefonica and Ericsson have announced the launch of a new offering for business customers based on the operator's ongoing cloud-based Unica virtualisation project. The new product, dubbed Enterprise Private Network, is designed to cover the high capacity broadband and latency needs that business customers require for their industrial mobile communications. Telefonica said technologies such as network slicing and vEPC (virtual Evolved Packet Core) will be made available to business customers for the first time.
