Telefonica exec denies German network sharing talks with KPN

Wednesday 24 April 2013 | 14:02 CET | News
Telefonica and KPN are not in talks about sharing their mobile networks in Germany, reports Reuters. Eduardo Navarro, Telefonica's director of strategy and alliances, told reporters in Sao Paulo, that there were no active discussions on that subject at present. He added that Telefonica had a competitive advantage over KPN in Germany with its 4G network, and that any deal would have to maintain this advantage. Telefonica controls O2 Germany and KPN controls E-Plus. Navarro also said that Telefonica was happy with its position in Germany, but would evaluate any opportunities that arise.
