Telefonica faces potential EUR 437 mln Peru tax bill

Friday 27 March 2015 | 14:29 CET | News
Peru's tax authorities may fine Telefonica up to EUR 437 million following a court decision issued earlier this month. The Spanish operator disclosed the possibility in a statement to Spain's market regulator CNMV, adding that it could still lodge an appeal against the ruling. Reuters reports that the decision refers to alleged errors in the operator's corporate tax payments in 2000 and 2001.
