Telefonica Germany deploys Intelsat satellite backhaul to improve mobile coverage

Telefonica Germany said it is now using satellite connections from Intelsat at mobile sites in underserved areas to help supply these areas with network coverage. The underserved locations are geographically or topographically challenging, and cannot be connected using for example fibre-optic networks.
