Telefonica Germany expands 5G to 60 cities

Telefonica Germany said it has started to operate 1,300 5G antennas in around 60 cities over the past six weeks, doubling the number of cities supplied with 5G. Over 250 5G antennas are active in Berlin, over 120 are in Hamburg and over 100 are in Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart. In addition, Telefonica has started to operate its 5G network in cities such as Augsburg and Ingolstadt in Bavaria, Aachen, Gelsenkirchen and Schwerte in North Rhine-Westphalia, and Sindelfingen, Affalterbach and Marbach am Neckar in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The 5G antennas transmit over 3.6 GHz frequencies.
