Telefonica Germany launches separate hosting division
Telefonica Germany moves all hosting operations into a new subsidiary called Telefonica Germany Online Services. At the same time, the division expands its portfolio with managed cloud services and application management solutions for complex online portals. The company will be led by former vice president Large Enterprises, Kai Stemick, who reports directly to business director Johannes Pruchnow. Telefonica Germany to offer Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Telefonica Germany will launch the tablet PC Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 3G capability from mid-July. The device costs EUR 22.50 per month plus a one time desposit of EUR 29 with O2 MyHandy's 24 months contract and customers ordering a 24 months Alice DSL contract receive an additional discount of EUR 100 and new Alice customers also get a EUR 10 monthly discount for six months as well.

O2 Germany to launch EU data roaming for smartphones option

Telefonica Germany will introduce a new data pack for the EU-countries from August onward. With the Smartphone Day Pack EU, customers receive 10 MB for EUR 3.50 per day in the world zones 1 and 2. The tariff is explicitly tailored to the needs of smartphone users and billing does not start before 50 KB of data usage per day. Telefonica Germany has launched a new top up service for O2 prepaid customers. The express top-up enables them to top up their credit via direct debit or credit card no matter where they are. Telefonica Germany has replaced its IPTV service Alice Television Flatrate with Alice TV.
