Thursday 17 November 2011 | 11:24 CET | News
Telefonica Germany and Paypal's mobile carrier billing provider Zong have unveiled a partnership under which mobile customers of Telefonica brand O2 can pay for digital and virtual goods directly via the Zong platform. Purchases from more than a thousand online merchants, including Facebook, IMVU and Habbo, are paid for on the next mobile phone bill. The service will be available soon enabling customers to pay with their mobile phone after entering their mobile phone number. After that, the PIN sent by SMS has to be confirmed and the payment is made.
