Telefonica Germany unveils Voice Access SIP for SMEs

Telefonica Germany has announced the launch of a new fixed-line product, dubbed Voice Access SIP, aimed at small business customers. The product is intended to help SMEs switch from a conventional ISDN system to one based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), enabling them to process calls via an IP connection. By changing to SIP-based connection, companies will also be able to run just one central telephone system and to connect further locations via a virtual private network (VPN), resulting in significant installation, operation, maintenance and administration savings.
