Telefonica groups Central American assets into new unit

Tuesday 9 July 2013 | 07:14 CET | News
Telefonica has set up a unit called Telefonica Centroamerica Inversiones (Telefonica Centralamerica Investments). The unit holds Telefonica's businesses in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama, Cinco Dias reports. The launch of Telefonica Centroamerica Inversiones is a step forward in the divestment process announced by Telefonica in April, when Telefonica agreed to sell 40 percent of its assets in El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama to Corporacion Multi Inversiones (CMI). Telefonica Centroamerica Inversiones will unite these businesses and lead the divestment.
