Telefonica installs beach overcrowding system in Lloret de Mar

Telefonica has announced a contract with Lloret de Mar city council to install a video surveillance system that uses IP cameras and 4G connectivity to prevent overcrowding on the resort's beaches. Spain's coronavirus state of emergency came to an end on 21 June after nearly 100 days, meaning locals and tourists alike can now enjoy the country's beaches as long as social distancing measures are strictly followed.
