Telefonica launches commercial VoLTE with Ericsson

Tuesday 21 October 2014 | 12:30 CET | News
Telefónica Germany announced that it has now fully prepared its network for commercial Voice over LTE (VoLTE). Users will be able to enjoy HD voice call quality and instant call-set-up, while using simultaneous data services on their LTE-ready smartphones, in all areas where Telefonica has LTE coverage in Germany. This function is based on the Ericsson IMS portfolio, which will enable Telefonica to provide other converged high-quality multimedia services in future.
