Telefonica leading investor in start-ups

Telefonica, through its Open Future programme, ended 2015 as one of the most important corporate investors in Spain and Latin America in the field of open innovation and investment in Venture Capital and one of the most important in Europe. With a presence in 17 countries, Open Future has invested in over 600 startups, from 315 that existed last year and half. It has accelerated 850 business projects and has more than 85 public and private partners. Investment in Venture Capital through investment vehicles such as Telefonica Ventures and 7 Amerigo funds amounted to EUR 349 million in the last
