Telefonica Mexico denies talks to buy America Movil assets

Telefonica's Mexican unit is not currently in talks to buy assets that America Movil is looking to offload in response to tough new regulatory demands. In an interview with Reuters, Telefonica Mexico chairman Francisco Gil Diaz said there were no discussions between Telefonica Mexico and Carlos Slim's company. "I think that right now, that's not something that's being worked on," he said.
