Telefonica, Microsoft extend smart cloud partnership to Peru

Telefonica and Microsoft have announced an extension of their cloud-based partnership to the Peruvian market, offering the latter's Azure-branded services to a potential base of 70,000 business customers. In a statement, Telefonica said it will be marketing Microsoft's Azure platform throughout the country with a view to helping Peruvian companies become more competitive via the use of Azure's 'infrastructure as a service' (IaaS) capabilities for computing, storage, network and other functionalities as well as its 'platform as a service' (PaaS) resources for application development and
