Telefonica has decided to continue diversifying its connected home offer after launching the Movistar Prosegur alarm business earlier this year by moving into the solar energy sector, reports Expansion. The company has begun selling solar panels under the “Movistar Paneles Solares” brand and has launched a website to give customers the possibility of producing their own clean energy for the home at prices starting at EUR 66 a month.
Telefonica’s offer covers all required legal procedures, the installation and maintenance of the panels, plus a 7-year guarantee and an annual check-up of the equipment. The “Movistar Paneles Solares” service is already available in the Alicante province and will be rolled out all over Spain in the future, said the report, adding that customers can already subscribe at well over a dozen Movistar stores throughout the region.
