Telefonica Peru improves revenue trend in Q2 on fixed broadband growth

Telefonica's Peruvian unit (Telefonica del Peru) reported a year on year organic revenue decline of 0.9 percent to EUR 535 million in the second quarter of 2019, an improvement on falls of 1.7 percent, 2.8 percent and 4.3 percent in the previous three quarters thanks to fixed broadband additions and its new Movistar Total convergent offer. Operating income before depreciation and amortisation (OIBDA) was up 12.4 percent to EUR 125 million, positively impacted by the capital gain from the sale of telecommunications towers to Telxius on 31 May, offsetting ongoing competitive pressure and
