Telefonica Peru reaches deal to sell up to 833 towers

Telefonica del Peru has reached an agreement to sell an initial 658 of its telecommunications towers to an unnamed global telecommunications infrastructure company as part of an asset review. In a brief statement, the company said an additional 175 towers will be included in the deal following regulatory approval, taking the total to 833. Telefonica didn't reveal the cost of the transaction but said it intends to continue with plans to sell buildings, towers and other assets throughout 2019.
