Telefonica Peru to transfer 900 towers to Telxius

Telefonica Peru plans to transfer around 900 towers and all related assets to Telxius, the global company recently created by Telefonica to manage its infrastructure assets, reports Telesemana, citing a Lima Stock Exchange filing. As part of the initiative, Telefonica plans to set up a new subsidiary called Towercom Latam to manage the infrastructure. If shareholders approve the venture, Towercom Latam will issue new shares equivalent to the full amount of the infrastructure, which will be underwritten by Telefonica Peru.
