Telefonica presents indoor multi-sensory geolocation tool

Telefonica has presented at Mobile World Congress a multi-sensory geolocation tool that combines smartphone sensors, 4G connectivity and the computing capacity of the operator's cloud to improve indoor positioning. The company collaborated with Galician startup Situm Technologies, part of the Telefonica Open Future innovation platform, to develop a tool that meets the challenge of providing accurate positioning in confined indoor areas, one of the weaknesses of systems such as GPS or Galileo.
