Telefonica releases flagship original series 'La Peste'

Telefonica has announced the release of its first original TV production on its Movistar+ pay-TV platform in Spain. The EUR 10 million series is called "La Peste" and follows a serial killer investigation in a plague-ravaged 16th century Seville. Directed by Alberto Rodriguez, responsible for the critically acclaimed thriller "La Isla Minima" ("Marshland"), the six-part series is available in full to all Movistar+ subscribers, with a second season already in the pipeline.
