Telefonica set to receive EUR 600 mln for data centres - report

Thursday 25 April 2019 | 09:19 CET | News
Telefonica is set to receive EUR 600 million from investment fund Asterion for its data centre business, according to unnamed sources cited by Spanish online newspaper El Confidencial. The operator's board approved Asterion's bid after assessing binding offers from a number of infrastructure and investment funds, said the report, adding that the company took nearly a month to consider the offers due to security issues. Telefonica subsequently told Reuters that the deal had yet to be confirmed while Asterion declined to comment.
