Telefonica shuts down Movistar eSports channel

Friday 21 December 2018 | 09:53 CET | News
Telefonica has ended transmission of its Movistar eSports channel on the Movistar+ pay-TV platform just under two years after it began broadcasting in Spain, reports sports daily As.com. The online gaming channel offered exclusive live and on demand content from all professional video game competitions, complete with expert analysis, but the most important e-sports content will now be transmitted via its sports-themed Vamos channel and video-on-demand platforms, said the report.
