Telefonica to drop Base, E-Plus, Simyo brands - report

Telefonica Germany will stop using the brands Base, E-Plus and Simyo, Wuv.de reports. O2 and Blau.de, as well as for a time Fonic, will remain part of the company's brand range. Telefonica said it was working on repositioning the brands to avoid overlaps within the distribution. Since the merger wih E-Plus in 2014, O2 and Base as well as E-Plus, Simyo, Fonic and Blau.de all belonged to Telefonica.
