Telefonica to reach 25 mln FTTH homes in Spain by 2020

Telefonica has confirmed its plan to expand its Spanish fibre to the home (FTTH) network to 25 million households by the end of 2020. In a statement released to coincide with the intervention of Telefonica Spain CEO Luis Gilperez Miguel at the 30th telecommunications and digital economy meeting at Menendez Pelayo university in Santander, the company said its expanded rollout would mean covering "practically all" of the country's homes in four years' time.
