Telefonica under pressure to divest spectrum in Germany

Wednesday 2 April 2014 | 11:19 CET | News
Telefonica is coming under increasing pressure from regulators to give up spectrum assets to secure approval for its proposed takeover of mobile network operator E-Plus in Germany, reports the Financial Times. Germany's Federal Network Agency (BnA) has found that there would be a need for short-term frequency regulation action on two key 900/1800 MHz bands capable of carrying mobile broadband.
