Telefonica, United Internet end network talks - report

Friday 6 June 2014 | 11:22 CET | News
Telefonica's talks with MVNO United Internet in Germany have ended, reports Bloomberg citing three unnamed people familiar with the matter. United Internet wanted guarantees from Telefonica for access to faster internet which would maintain an existing deal with E-Plus for transmission based on LTE technology, according to the sources. However, Telefonica informed the company on 04 June that concessions offered to the EU for approval to take over E-Plus would not include such terms. Instead, Telefonica would offer smaller operators sufficient volumes and pricing for mobile bitstream access.
