Telefonica unveils system to control social distancing

Shortly after developing and installing a video surveillance network to prevent overcrowding on Spanish beaches, Telefonica has unveiled another social distancing system designed to help corporate customers control large flows of people during the Covid-19 pandemic. The system enables customers to manage public spaces in real time via the use of sensors and databases, ensuring safety guidelines on capacity and distancing are followed while providing information on how to speed up waiting times, among other benefits.
