Telefonica using CA Technologies software for API management

CA Technologies announced a contract to provide Telefonica with its API Management platform to support communication among disparate elements of its infrastructure supporting more than 200,000 internal and external services. Since deploying the software, Telefonica has reduced project costs and times and accelerated the delivery of new customer services by eliminating technical complexities when modernising app architectures, said CA Technologies.

Examples include the new diagnostic solution employed in customer service for resolution of technical incidents, which required the coordinated integration of more than 50 different operational systems. Telefonica also found that the CA software accelerated time to market in several projects, on average, reducing development cycles from three months to two weeks.
