Telefonica's ElevenPaths working with Google's Chronicle on managed security services

Telefonica's ElevenPaths cybersecurity arm has joined forces with Google’s enterprise security company Chronicle to bring new managed security analytics services to businesses in Europe and Latin America. In a statement, ElevenPaths confirmed that it has begun to integrate Chronicle security analytics services into its range of managed security offerings with a view to improving detection of potential threats and providing faster troubleshooting of security alerts and more effective investigation of incidents, based on a longer retention of security telemetry.

The partners plan to build new joint offerings to be released later in the year, said ElevenPaths. Parent company Telefonica recently integrated all its cloud, security, internet of things and big data services into the new Telefonica Tech unit, with EUR 2 billion of additional revenues expected by 2022.

Chronicle originally spun out of Alphabet’s experimental projects lab X and has been part of the Google parent's “Other Bets” experimental services segment since January 2018. It was folded into Google Cloud at the end of last year.
