Telekom and Daimler reach settlement with German govt in road toll arbitration

Germany's Federal Ministry of Transport, Daimler and Deutsche Telekom have reached an agreement to end road-toll arbitration proceedings, putting an end to a 14-year legal dispute over the delayed implementation of a toll collection system for heavy trucks in Germany. The settlement is worth around EUR 3.2 billion and takes previous payments Telekom made to the German government into account as well as a one-time final payment of EUR 550 million by Telekom.
