Telekom Austria confirms resignation of CEO
Telekom Austria Group announced that Hannes Ametsreiter will resign as CEO of Telekom Austria and A1 Telekom Austria with effect from 31 July. In a statement, the company said that he asked the Supervisory Board for a "mutually agreed premature termination of his contract". Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Telekom Austria Group, said the board would discuss his replacement at its next meeting. 

Ametsreiter has been the chairman of the management board and CEO of Telekom Austria Group since April 2009, as well as CEO of A1 Telekom Austria since 2010. His contract was last extended at the start of 2014, for three years. Further details on the reason for his departure were not given.

Vodafone Germany announced the appointment of Hannes Ametsreiter as its new CEO from 1 October. The supervisory board will decide on the proposal at its next board meeting on 30 June. Telekom Austria buys Amis in Slovenia, Croatia

The Telekom Austria Group has agreed to acquire 100 percent of Amisco, the holding entity of operators Amis Slovenia and Amis Croatia. The sellers comprise Iris Capital, Kebek Private Equity and Amis' management. Amis operates as a fixed line reseller in Slovenia and owns a fibre network in Croatia. The companies offer internet, IPTV and telephony services to approximately 63,000 customers in Slovenia and approximately 23,000 customers in Croatia as of year-end 2014.

Telekom Austria to purchase Amis for EUR 30 million - report

Telekom Austria Group (TAG) is close to signing the contract for the purchase of Slovenian telecommunications operator Amis, reports Vecer. According to unofficial sources, the transaction has been agreed upon and should be concluded early this week, when the representatives of TAG and the Belgian and French shareholders of Amis, the funds Iris Capital and Kebek, meet in Vienna.
