Telekom Austria eyes takeovers in Croatia, Serbia

Hannes Ametsreiter, executive director of Telekom Austria, said that the Austrian company is considering takeovers in Croatia and Serbia, enabling it to become the leading player in Southeast Europe. In an interview for Austrian daily WirtschaftsBlatt, he mentioned Croatian operator H1 Telekom and Serbian cable operator SBB as interesting prospects. Ametsreiter added that smaller agreements could be realised in cash, while bigger ones would require a capital increase.
