Telekom continues rural DSL expansion in Bavaria

Monday 7 March 2011 | 10:02 CET | News
Telekom Deutschland continues to upgrade and expand its DSL network, offering 16 Mbps DSL connections to the households in Rain's district Duernhart. At the same time, the operator announced it will expand its VDSL network in Augsburg-Bergheim. The roll-out is expected to be completed by the summer of this year. Both municipalities are located in Bavaria and the expansions are part of the company's strategy to offer broadband services either via DSL or mobile technologies to rural areas around Germany, where currently no broadband services are available.
