Telekom puts in first bid for Bundesliga rights – report
Deutsche Telekom has made its first bid for the rights to show football matches from Germany's Bundesliga during the 2013-14 season, business magazine Wirtschaftswoche reported. Telekom's bid for all the rights for live distribution via satellite, cable, IPTV and mobile is said to be very high. The company is competing with pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland, which currently holds the rights. If Telekom wins the auction, it will split up and resell the rights. Broadcasters, including Sky, would have to buy the rights from Telekom.

Deutsche Telekom and pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland have put in their bids for the rights to show football matches from Germany's Bundesliga during the 2013-14 season.
