Telekom 'untrustworthy' partner in broadband rollout - BBV

Friday 6 July 2018 | 13:54 CET | News
German network operator BBV has criticized Deutsche Telekom and its CEO Tim Hoettges for being "untrustworthy" after Telekom announced it would use vectoring in Bretten in Baden-Wuerttemberg despite earlier promises from Telekom to work with regional broadband providers to roll out fibre. Despite existing open access and whole buy options, Telekom recently announced it would use vectoring it to upgrade roughly 11,000 households by early 2019 as part of a wider, privately financed FTTH/B project in Bretten rather than cooperate with local providers, said BBV.
