Telenet completes Base takeover

Friday 12 February 2016 | 09:14 CET | News
Belgian cable operator Telenet said it's completed the takeover of mobile operator Base from KPN. This follows approval for the deal earlier this month by the European Commission. Telenet paid around EUR 1.3 billion for Base. The company said customers of Base will not see any changes to service in the near term. Telenet also completed the subsequent sale of Base's 50 percent stake in MVNO Mobile Vikings to Medialaan, one of the agreed conditions for regulatory approval.
