Telenet CTO calls for calm over 5G auction delays, roll-out planned only in 2021

Monday 11 February 2019 | 10:35 CET | News
Belgian operator Telenet has called for calm over the perceived delay in auctioning 5G spectrum. The company said spectrum is not the only thing needed, and significant investments in core and radio networks as well as the first 5G devices are still required. The group said it plans to start testing 5G only in 2020 and a commercial roll-out will begin in 2021.
