Telenet halfway through network upgarde, to pilot FTTH

Monday 26 June 2017 | 11:22 CET | News
Telenet has reiterated that its fixed network will be ready for subscriptions of up to 1 Gbps in 2019. For the moment, subscriptions provide speeds of up 200 Mbps, but that is soon expected to change. Telenet announced nearly three years that it was investing EUR 500 million into network upgrades over the coming five years. Work has been completed in 200 municipalities, or roughly half. For new housing and business projects, Telenet will no longer always use cable, but sometimes also FTTH.
