Telenet limits mobile bundles, stimulates quad-play

Telenet is putting more emphasis on quad-play, making its Wigo bundles bigger and limiting the separete mobile bundles. On 26 June, Telenet will changes the terms of its Wigo quad-play package, which has attracted 188,600 customers since its launch one year ago. All mobile connections within the subscription will now be able to take their mobile data from a common pool: there will be no fixed number of MBs per user.

The bundles will get larger. Wigo 100 will now have 3 GB instead of 2 GB per month. Wigo 120 will see its volume doubles to 10 GB, while at Wigo 140, it will go from 10 GB to 15 GB. With the subscription at EUR 100 per month, two Sim cards will be included. The higher deal will give five Sim cards.

Under the old terms, each connection had to get at least 1 GB, but that condition has expired. Schoolchildren can now take a bigger bite from the family bundle than their parents.

Wigo Business 100 will go from 4 to 5 GB, Wigo Business 120 from 10 to 15, and Wigo 140 Business from 15 to 25 GB. There is also a new WIGO Business Pro 50 GB, with up to 10 Sim cards.

Less choice and no unlimited calling on mobile

Of the King&Kong mobile subscriptions left, only two will remain: King with 150 minutes, unlimited SMS and 1.5 GB for EUR 15. Kong will provide 500 minutes, unlimited SMS and 4GB for EUR 25 per month. The new bundles will only be available to new customers as well as those with fixed services.

The old propositions were priced at EUR 15, EUR 20 and EUR 45 for 1, 2 or 6 GB per month, with 150, 300 or unlimited call minutes. A discount of EUR 5 per month was given during the first ten months. All Wigo subscriptions include unlimited calling to fixed and mobile numbers within Belgium.

The Basic cable subscription will see speeds upped from 30/3 Mbps to 50/5 Mbps. The data limit will remain at 150 GB per month. All changes will take place on 26 June. Existing customers will be able to switch to one of the new formulas.
