Telenet objects to opening up of cable, fibre networks to more competition

Belgian supervisor BIPT has published a proposal to continue the current regulation for Telenet with a new decision. Cable resale in Belgium has been regulated since July 2011, allowing alternative providers to bring their own offering of television or television combined with broadband internet in Belgium. At the beginning of 2014, Mobistar (now Orange) approached Telenet and Voo with a request to access their network.
