Telenet partners postmen to check cable connections

Monday 2 June 2014 | 10:56 CET | News
Belgian cable operator Telenet announced a pilot project with Bpost to check houses for cable connections. In Mechelen, the postmen will check the front of around 100 homes for the possibility to connect to cable, filling in a checklist and taking photos. Telenet told the paper De Morgen that the project is aimed at new homes or those undergoing renovation. The process is expected to make the connection process easier for residents, by giving the operator more info on the local conditions. For Bpost, it offers a new growth area, in the face of declining mail volumes.
