Telenet, Proximus remain dominant on Belgian fixed market

The Belgian consumer market for fixed services generated revenues of EUR 678 million in the second quarter, with Telenet remaining the largest supplier in terms of both revenues and number of broadband connections, according to Telecompaper's quarterly report about the Belgian fixed consumer market, which came out in September. Telenet reported revenues for fixed services (TV, telephony, internet) in Q2 of EUR 290 million. Proximus (the former incumbent Belgacom) came next with EUR 277 million. Telenet also remains the largest in terms of broadband connections with 1.47 million units.
