Telenet still working on formal bid for Base

Monday 27 July 2015 | 13:35 CET | News
Telenet is still working on the agreement to acquire Base. The news that KPN wanted to sell its Belgian mobile operations to Telenet, part of the Liberty Global group, became known in Apri but the size of the deal is making for complex preparations. Telenet said that no formal filings have yet been submitted. The European Commission will assess the acquisition and not the federal government's competition regulator, because of the high revenues and involvement of companies from several countries. No timetable has been given.
