Telenet wins regulatory approval for SFR BeLux takeover
The Belgian competition authority has approved Telenet's takeover of SFR BeLux from Altice. The former Numericable activities include the companies Coditel brabant and Coditel and are active in parts of Brussels, Wallonia and Luxembourg.

The only condition for regulatory clearance was that Orange have wholesale access to the SFR network. Telenet said this would be made possible within four months of closing the takeover, and Orange would pay the same as it does in Flanders for access to the Telenet network.

First announced in December 2016, the acquisition will cost Telenet EUR 400 million and give it around 105,000 additional customers. It expects to close the deal in the coming days.
