Telenor India Q1 revenue declines, turns to positive EBITDA

Telenor India saw first-quarter total revenues of NOK 1.308 billion, down from NOK 1.519 billion in the year-earlier period. First-quarter EBITDA reached a positive NOK 76 million, compared to a negative EBITDA of NOK 496 million in the first quarter of 2016. Back in February 2017, the Group entered into a definitive agreement with Bharti Airtel, whereby Airtel will take full ownership of Telenor India. Airtel and Telenor India will merge and Airtel will take over Telenor India as soon as all necessary approvals are received.
