Telenor informs Nkom of plans to keep maintaining copper network after 01 May

Monday 15 April 2019 | 12:10 CET | News
Telenor has responded to communications regulator Nkom's request for more information about its network modernisation plans, amid concerns that the operator would stop repairing faults on its copper lines after 01 May 2019. In its five-page letter, it said it would in fact continue maintaining these lines after that date where customers had no alternative, such as 4G or fibre/hybrid fibre-coaxial (HFC) connectivity from Telenor or another provider.
